Paint water spilled.
Crown soaked.
Drippy spit up.
I had to laugh.
After a wipe of the table,
a rinse and blow dry of the crown,
a scrub-a-dub of the babe,

When I was loading pictures on the computer, I came upon this gem:

Love it! Sadly we have those moments all too often, luckily you got your captured to prove!
ReplyDeleteHaha!! Love the picture at the end. That is what I look like most days!
ReplyDeletePriceless. Just priceless.
ReplyDeleteAnd that birthday skirt and crown? Adore it.
I think I look like the last picture quite often. He just isn't big enough yet to take pictures of it.
ReplyDeletegotta love these moments! one of your greatest strengths is that you can laugh at them when others might cry! i have said it before and will again, "you will miss these moments!"...mckinlay is quite the good photographer!
ReplyDeleteClassic! Both you day and that last picture.
ReplyDeletemy kids have taken some rather flattering shots of me as well!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture - it brings back memories of the "ahhh" in a few moments of "shut-eye" amidst the hustle and bustle. Kinners hair is growing out nicely :). Eliza reminds me more of her dad as she gets older - can't say why - she just does. Looks like life is good - happy day :).
ReplyDeleteBTW: Darling birthday present - you clever mom!
Way to tell a story and look back with laughter. Aah, the joys of 15 second disasters! Your crown and skirt are adorable, and your kiddos look happy-crafty.
ReplyDeleteHa! I loved this post! I love the last pic Meg, that is just too, too cute! Also, nice job on getting the black paint out of the darling crown! Your girls are just much too cute!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm glad for your Dad that he got up those stairs and that he is doing good. We are still praying for him over at our house! We just love that guy!
ReplyDeleteOK, LOVE the last pic!
ReplyDeletewell aren't those just the best moments? HA! yeah, I could do without them too. I can't wait until that last picture is captured of me. I think I look like that on a regular basis. :)
ReplyDeleteThat last picture... Well it just brings me more joy than you can possibly know. I spend all this time, reading your blog about darling crafts and happy children, thinking you're some sort of super-human mother! And I'm still entirely sure you are; but it's nice to see that super-moms need little breaks too.
ReplyDeleteAnd that I'm not the only one who lets their 3-year old play with the camera. :)
