Are you gonna do this? Tonight? :D Party at your house, in the dark!
Not to be a spoil sport, but the website suggests holding a candlelight dinner party or a movie night. Not so environmentally friendly. Candles are not a very eco-friendly alternative to electricity, especially if you already own the electrical wires and the light bulbs. Also, TVs (even off but plugged in) are one of the largest household culprits of wasted electricity. I don't think that a movie night is environmentally preferable to, say, game night or reading night.
So now that I sound like a total curmudgeon, I like this idea/statement. I especially love the acoustic gig idea. Meanwhile, I think I'll unplug my TV since we're not using it at the moment!
no ammie, i'm not gonna do this tonight with a house full of people. :) can you imagine? come to my party. in the dark. i was just asked to spread the word, so I figured posting it was the best way to do so.

ReplyDeleteFunny thing. I was all geared up for Earth Hour last year, but about 30 or 40 minutes before the big moment, the power went out.
ReplyDeleteTalk about stealing the wind from my sails.
LOL. Though it would be a hilarious party. And LOL at Micah's experience too! That's great!
