Yo ho maties! It be that time o' year!

This be the booty.
Thar be a pirate tale.(Next time anyone needs to buy Mckinlay a present, that book or this one would be so fun. Just FYI.)
She freaked out when I put this tattoo on her. She was so mad that she couldn't take it off...until I showed it to her in the mirror. Then she couldn't stop giggling.

You are the cutest person on the planet! Seriously. And why didn't I get that gene, huh? I mean, we're related! It's gotta be in me somewhere ....
ReplyDeleteI love you!
When I was little i would ask my Mom (your Grandma)what I could ever do to thank her for being the best Mom ever? She would just tell me to be the best my I could to my kids. Frustrating when I was young because I wanted something concrete...kind of like when you kids would ask me what I wanted for my birthday and I would say "peace and harmony" and you would hate that answer...but you did give me PEAS for one of my birthdays. Anyway, back to the first subject...you continually give me the bestest gift ever when I see what a cute Mom you are! I love ya a million gold deblunes(sp?)!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so much fun! I should start putting lots of effort into our FHE. Maybe I'll be copying this idea!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Meg! Love the tatoos, love the booty, love the boots, love that little Mckinlay! What a darling idea, and what a fun Mom you are!
ReplyDeleteLove the pirate idea! Megan has that book, "How I became a pirate" and always laughs when Peter reads parts in his 'pirate' voice.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love that Ty is reading to her in his scrubs. Sometimes it seems like it has been days since I saw Peter dressed in something besides his scrubs.
You are SUCH an AWESOME mom!! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteOh I really want one of those pirate cupcakes. Yummy. And yes, you are the cutest mom.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering why McKinlay had a tatoo on her arm today. Now I know! :) This is so fun- I'm sure McKinlay LOVED it. I really need to do more stuff like this with our kids.
ReplyDeleteIt is official...you take the prize for creative, fun family activities. All I could do was smile while reading your post! Thanks for sharing...I loved every word and photo!
ReplyDeletemeghan, how do you think of these things?!
ReplyDeletemy question: does she kiss the tattoo on her arm? jonathan does that to his arms, and there's no tattoo there. thanks for coming up with the them idea for anna's next birthday. and the next one after that. and probably the next one after that. such a cute idea.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, could you be any cuter? Move back here and teach me to be a better future homemaker to my unborn children, pronto.
ReplyDeleteHas it really been a year since the last one?? Mckinlay has the funnest mom!! And...oh my, she is the cutest pirate I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get all of the energy to be so incredibly creative?!? I wish I could get my kids to settle down to even WANT to attempt something like that. You are too cute for words. I will have to pick your brain for ideas.
ReplyDeleteSeriously so cute. You are an awesome mom. I don't know how you have time for everything you do but I think I might have to start stealing ideas from you.
ReplyDeleteThanks, thanks, thanks for being the best wife ever to my glorious son who is so deserving of the best - which you are. The cutest little wench ever the biggest 'squench' ever from Grandma.
ReplyDeleteHow darling, Meghan! You do such cute things just like your mom! McKinlay is the cutest (and luckiest) little pirate! I loved seeing the picture of Ty that he penciled in the background of one pix! AND I enjoyed the excellent pirate talk lesson!
