Today a bunch of us headed down to the Public Garden to ride the swan boats. Mckinlay and I were first time swan riders and we would totally recommend it. What a fun way to enjoy the Garden! I have forgotten how much I like going there and how pretty it is. Mckinlay loved the ride. Not sure she really realized she was on a boat, but I think that fact that she had friends sitting behind her and that she could stand up on the benches was enough (I'd like to say that she is not looking at the camera because she is looking at the swans or ducks...but really, I think she is just too into the bench). And for those of you who were wondering--the swan's names are Romeo and Juliette. And yes, when they put their heads together, their necks do make a heart. Precious.
And what would a trip to the Public Garden be without stopping at the ducklings!? This is either Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, or Quack from "Make Way For Ducklings." Remember how that cute story takes place on the busy streets of downtown Boston? It is quickly becoming one of Mckinlay's favorites books.
Looks like Mckinlay is waiting for the little duckling to say something. I guess she doesn't quite get the concept of statues yet. But by the looks of it, I think Pauly does.
I LOVE BOSTON! I've only been there once, but I especially thought the parks were great. There are so many things to see and do. I remember seeing that cute ducky statue...love the book. Mckinlay is sooo adorable waiting for the statue to talk!
ReplyDeleteYour little one is too cute! I love hot chocolate too . . .I drink it all the time down here in the Caribbean. Crazy I know! Sometimes I get cold when it is 80 degrees outside! It looks beautiful in Boston though. Enjoy the change in season!
