This morning I was burping Eliza and Mckinlay came and snuggled up on my lap to Eliza and said:
"Mom, she's my best friend forever."
My heart began to melt, then she looked up at me and said :
"You smell kinda stinky."
Speaking of stinkers, later I was upstairs getting a few things and when I came down the stairs Mckinlay met me at the bottom with an ice cream cone in hand. She got everything out herself and even used the ice cream scooper to assemble her cone. And the best part was she totally cleaned up after herself! No drips in the kitchen and the scooper was even put in the sink. I was proud. Even if it was only 9am and my daughter was eating ice cream.
I love that she figured out how to make herself an ice cream cone. That is priceless.
ReplyDeleteThat's impressive!! An ice cream cone assembled and no mess to show for it. Mason can't even get pretzels without having the entire bag emptied all over the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI want McKinlay to make me my breakfast!
ReplyDeleteHa! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is one well-trained kid you've got there! Now if you can get her to make chocolate cake for dinner you'll be all set!
ReplyDeleteIf her "Happy Jo" can have chocolate for breakfast, why can't she have ice cream!?...especially when she cleans up after herself! Actually quite "humbly proud"!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Go have a shower. What 2 kids and one is a newborn? Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteTrue Hallstrom, that one.
