Ty took his test yesterday {hooray!!} but, unfortunately the hospital is pretty swamped, so they asked him to start early. We thought we were gonna have Daddy to ourselves until Monday...but such is the life of a resident's family, right?
We did get him for the morning. So we went to the Memphis Kiddie Park.

{Argh. I just realized this cropped funny, but I'm too lazy to fix it right now. You get the idea.}
So much fun!
They only have rides for little kiddos, so it was just Mckinlay's speed. She loved it!
...Well, everything but the roller coaster:

...Well, everything but the roller coaster:

On the ride home she kept saying,
"I had fun!! But the roller coaster scares me!!"
It was my lucky day because we stopped at Chick-fil-a on the way home {and have I mentioned our local Target has a Pizza Hut? I know -- almost like I died and went to Heaven!} before dropping Ty off at the hospital.
Hooray Ty's test is over!
Hooray for a morning with Daddy!
Hooray for the kiddie park!
& by golly,
hooray for fabulous fast food!!
hilarious!...glad you at least got him for the morning! Chick-filet and a Target with a pizza hut...my kind of place!...but lets be real, anyplace with you guys is my kinda place?!
ReplyDeleteMmm, I do like Pizza Hut, but you know what I miss most (that Boston doesn't have)? Arbys!
ReplyDeleteSo I jumped the gun a little when we found out we are having a girl and bought that same swimsuit Mckinlay's wearing in your header, even though my baby won't be able to wear it forever! You are always up to something fun and you are the funniest about fast food. Who am I kidding? I LOVE Chik-fil-a and we have a major shortage of fast food places in this tiny town I live in.
ReplyDeleteoh i ADORE pizza hut. especially sit-down pizza huts — with waiters, tablecloths and those glorious red cups! they're so rare these days that they just seem magical to me.
ReplyDeleteNice...I'm totally with Robyn on the Arby's thing. It's kinda frustrating to not have the chains that we are used to EVERYWHERE else in the country but here in Boston: Arby's, Little Ceasar's, Krispie Kreme, Chili's...I'm so glad that you are finding the good things so close to where you live. Sounds like your life will be bliss...except for the whole husband being a resident and not getting to be with him much thing! Keep counting the little blessings in life! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats that Ty's test is over! I absolutely love that pic of Mckinlay in the roller coaster! Too cute!!
