...was a good day for photos. Here are my three favorites:
Mckinlay drew on the couch with a BIC pen yesterday. So she went to time out. After time out, I took her over to her mess to show her what she did...after we were done talking she went in the other room and grabbed a baby wipe.
I love this picture because it shows two things:
A) I truly believe a baby wipe is the best cleaning tool. Ever. Kitchen table dirty? Wipe. Floor needs to be mopped? One wipe under each foot. Haven't used a mop since Mckinlay was born. I could go on and on, but maybe I should stop because I'm not sure if I should be embarrassed about that or not.
B) Mckinlay is really learning! It's so cute seeing her do things that Ty and I do. But we do draw the line when she asks to help "wipe" when we use the bathroom. Silly girl.

We went to Halloween story time at Ginger's and decided to sport last year's costume just for kicks. Remember the sucker/Kit Kat incident last year?
Guess I never washed it. But who is really surprised? This is when I like to throw in "You knew what I was when you picked me up."
After naps, we had the rest of the day with nothing to do. I decided it would be a good time to try this "microwave-cake-in-a-mug" recipe I found. Sounds too good to be true, right?
It was.

MAYBE it would be good if you cooked it a little less. And doused it in cream. And hot fudge. So disappointing. But probably for the best, because if we could make yummy cake any time we had an afternoon with nothing to do:
T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

Dear Megs...
ReplyDeleteDon't be embarrassed. You just joined the most secret of all mommy groups. The Wet Wipes for Everything Group! We meet twice a week to discuss all of the newest discoveries we have had on wet wipe uses! Surprisingly we still find new uses each and every week. WELCOME!
Such a cute post! I love the pics of Mckinlay, she is really getting so big! So cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I laugh out loud every time I read your blog! SO CUTE!!! :)
ReplyDeletegood to know- i was tempted to try that cake in a mug. Kids really surprise you with what they pick up, sometimes you wonder if they learn anything at all! But they do they just don't show it. I agree, a good baby wipe goes a long way.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is so funny! I love it, and baby wipes are absolutely the best thing ever invented.

ReplyDeleteyes, wipes have many and varied uses, I'm thinking of continuing to buy them even after Axel is potty trained.
ReplyDeleteAlso, we can sympathize with the pen on the couch. Greta decorated our new couch as well last year, unfortunately wipes didn't work (not for a lack of trying though)
Wipes will also take your makeup off if you don't feel like washing your face!
just because it is chocolate, doesn't make it good...did I just say that!?
ReplyDeleteno wonder your floor was always so stinkin' clean! wipes! one woman in my ward was talking about what she had in her emergency storage at enrichment last thursday, and she said she stored a lot of wipes. one of her best ideas of what to use them for: showering when water is short. her words, "i figure, if i'm going to want to conserve water, i'll probably want to still feel clean, so i'll just use a bunch of wipes." GENIUS!!!
