1. As a comment on our blog, leave one memory that you and I (or you and Ty or Mckinlay or all of the above) had together. It doesn't matter if you know us a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. If you want to play, re-post these instructions on your blog and take a stroll down memory lane too.
Hey Meg! I wanna play!! Hopefully this doesn't offend your husband tee hee hee! What I remember about you is...
ReplyDeleteWhen I worked at Hogi Yogi I thought you were just the cutest, funnest person around. I really wanted to set you up on a date with my brother because I thought you were so fun! I am really glad that you are happy and married and have an awesome family but a little part of me secretly wishes you were my sister-in-law :) How's that for a weird, stalkerish memory???
We have several happy memories involving the Loveli. The murder mystery party you threw was pretty sweet. Remember Melanie with a gazillion pens all over her body? And I was so grateful last summer when I was having a hard time and you brought us dinner. What a great person you are! And Ty and McKinlay too. We love the Loveli!
ReplyDeleteMan! How can I only pick ONE memory of us? One of my favorite memories is trick or treating in Kahala. Eating spaghetti with whisks and whatever crazy utensil Grandma Hallstrom and your mom could come up with. Or eating blindfolded! That was pretty fun! I have to admit that there are very few memories of my childhood that you are not in. Ooh! I have to share one more.... May Day/ Holoku at Punahou. I loved taking pictures with you and Brennan in our Holoku costumes. I think I still have a few of them... I'll have to go diggint.
ReplyDeleteI remember That Ty were one of the first people in our new ward to invite us over. You and Melanie Fillmore were both super pregnant at the time. We had cookies and hot chocolate and you guys had the windows open even though it was fairly cold outside. We were so thankful to meet you guys and felt so welcomed into the ward. I remember looking forward to the time that i would be able to join the pregnant club! =) Thanks for being awesome.
ReplyDeleteHands down, my favorite memory is when Mckinlay was born...no words can even begin to describe that one! I have a million others but this one is tops! Here's to many more...memories that is...though I wouldn't mind a bunch more "Mckinlays!" Love ya! Happy Jo
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify, that was my favorite "Ty, Megs, Mckinlay" memory! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh man, where to start? Okay let's go with this one: Playing "Mao" in our kitchen with the Bates - and getting penalized one card for "failure to MOO!"
ReplyDeleteAnd a stroll down memory lane with the Lovelesses must always include a listing of your endless car woes: broken windshield, several busted side-view mirrors, slashed tires, countless parking tickets & trips to the tow yard (including once from our parking garage while you were on vacation, lol)... and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Someday, you guys deserve the nicest car money can buy!
Mine is when you were like 12 and I got married. Seems like forever ago and I was furiously trying to look pretty and you were admiring me like a was a princess. LOL. I knew even then that we would be friends forever. You are so great and now I look at you like you are a princess. XOXO Heather
ReplyDeleteMeg, your blog is adorable. I've never seen McKinlay before -- she is a DOLL! And I love her name :) I hope you guys are doing well.
ReplyDeleteThe memories I am thinking of have to do with finding the perfect swim wear and using "helper-well-pers". Or playing catch phrase when Tyler was little and he was Picaso! And eating at the Trolley car.. I better just stop.
ReplyDeleteToo many to pick a favorite, but one that will always be at the top is driving in high school and the song "Come on Eileen" came on and you were singing and dancing so much I could barely drive straight. Because I was laughing and because you were practically in the driver's seat with your crazy dance moves! Man we had good times back then.
ReplyDeleteI remember you and Ty helped Jared set up his proposal to me and hid in the bushes while he proposed. I totally didn't know Jared was going to propose when we were "supposed" to meet up with you at the park and couldn't find you guys. You guys did a great job.
ReplyDeleteI have a million good memories of Ty. He has always been an incredible big brother, and I have always looked up to him.
ReplyDeleteOne memory that I have with both you and Ty happened just after I got home from my mission. Looking back, I didn't realize what a hard transition it was to come home from a mission, and not only that, so many things had changed that I was not prepared for. I remember having such a hard time adjusting and thought that I would give Ty a visit. You both sat with me in your Provo apartment and helped me talk through a bunch of things. It was great, and it meant a lot to me.
1. We made felt hair clips for the girls.
ReplyDelete2. The kids watched Baby Einsteins.
3. We left to go home.
4. We got STUCK in the snow.
5. You got your shovel and we tried to pry the car out.
6. Your Indian neighbors came out speaking Hindi? and took over the operation.
7. Two broken pieces of plywood and lots of black snow later, we pulled out and were on our way. Please tell your Indian neighbors thank you again when you see them.
Madi makes me retell this story to her over and over again. She totally remembers it, and for some reason, loves to hear me retell it.
My regret is not knowing you better. I was too itimidated by your perfection to hunt you down more!
ReplyDeleteMeg my favorite memories were at the RIV you were the one that made work so fun and enjoyable. I loved having the RIV christmas party at your house!! Good times
