We've been having these crazy rain/lightening storms here in Massachusetts lately. Every day for the past 2 weeks at some point in the day, the clouds roll in and everything will get really gray really fast and then the rain pours and the lighting comes. Then it clears up.
On one of these days, a week or so ago, right as it started to pour Mckinlay and I both looked out the window just in time to see lightening strike IN OUR PARKING LOT! It was so wild! We saw this flash of light and heard the "BOOM/CRACK" at the same time. Crazy!
Yesterday Emily pulled into our parking lot to drop Mckinlay and I off after another of these storms and this is what we found:
So, whoever said lightening never strikes in the same place twice was wrong. Very wrong.
I had a neighbor that got struck by lightening twice! Crazy stuff. I like storms, but the out of control ones can be a bit frightening. Glad you guys didn't suffer any damages! Can't wait to play when you come to Utah!
ReplyDeleteI (along with the rest of the blogging world) am so excited that you have a new camera! Your new blog header picture is ridiculous! (Do I sound like Mia Michaels on SYTYCD?!)As for your lightning...always be suspicious when someone says "never"...remember, we were "never" going to live in Utah! Oh, that just gave me hope, you said the same thing?! See ya in 12 days...of course I'm counting! :-)
ReplyDeleteYikes! Okay, I know lightning can be pretty freaky and damaging, but I just love a good lightning storm and we really don't many here. Sigh. Trade ya some lightning for a hurricane? No?
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, I stood where that tree was, I remember that tree. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteHoly storm!!! Gotta love those noreastern storms!
ReplyDeleteThat is really crazy! You definitely don't see THAT every day!!! Glad you are all safe!
