Easter weekend was great. Ty didn't have to work at all so, it was fun to be able to spend it as a family. Here is what the weekend consisted of:
Easter egg dying -- with sparkles, of course.
I taught Mckinlay how to embroider. She is loving it and keeps calling it her "knitting." It's pretty cute how into it she is.
As per tradition, on Saturday we went out for an early dinner while the "Easter Bunny" {aka neighbor Holly} came to our house to hide our eggs and fill our baskets.
The anticipation was almost too much for the girls to be able to eat their dinner, but the wait paid off because they got "Barbie and the Mermaid Tale" part 1 and 2. {and now I can't get "she's the queen of the wa-a-a-aves..." out of my head} I've never seen two more excited girls.
Mckinlay said:
"How did the Easter bunny KNOW i wanted this so badly!? Is the Easter bunny my brother or something?"
Funny she would automatically assume it was a non-existent family member, and not, perhaps, her own mother.
We had a great Sunday filled with sunshine, family time, church, yummy dinner and enjoyed watching the Church's new Bible videos and teaching the girls about Christ and the Resurrection.
It was a great weekend!
