Easter egg hunt #2 at the church. More fittingly named Easter-Egg-Mad-Dash that lasted about 2 mins, but still fun!
A quick trip to "Eggshelland".
No seriously. There is even a movie about it.
Check out the trailer.
At first I thought it was pretty crazy that people dedicated their life and time to this, now I think it's really sweet, especially after watching the youtube clip. I want a 'thing'! They have their egg shells, and I have my, what? Felt animals maybe?
{I can see Ty rolling his eyes.}
I digress.
The Easter bunny comes to our house on Saturday, so after naps, we got ready for him.
We set our decorated eggs in our baskets and left the house to go to dinner. When we came home he (or SHE in our case -- thanks Krista for being a stellar Easter bunny neighbor) had hidden our eggs and left us fun things in our Easter baskets!
Looks like he enjoyed his carrots too!
Mckinlay was really thinking about the Easter bunny. That morning while we were in the cars she said:
Mck: Does the Easter bunny have a home?
Me: Sure he does.
Mck: Where is his home?
Me: I'm not sure. Where do you think it is.
Mck: Ahhh {pause} I think maybe it's in Africa. {thinks}
Yeah.
It's in Africa.
Later when she woke up from her nap first thing she said to me was:
"Does the Easter Bunny have pink feet? Like, Easter feet?"
"Sure honey. I bet he does have pink Easter feet."
Funny girl.
Every time she found an egg she'd say:
It was all pretty thrilling.
Sunday morning we had out 12th seim-annual Loveless General Conference Brunch. I can't believe it's our 12th?
I never seem to get pictures of the adults, but we had a crazy-fun house full of kiddos, and the food did not disappoint.
And we can't leave out these sweet girls. First, of many, neighbor twin photos. They are about 6 weeks apart.
Hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekend and General Conference. I love when Easter Sunday and Conference fall on the same day. It makes it ll seem more meaningful.
Now stop reading blogs and get out and enjoy the sunshine before it goes away! Sorry Utah friends. I think this is the first time Cleveland has had better weather than you.
I am so glad you said something about the Easter Bunny coming to your house on Saturday. We want to do that also, but we weren't sure how that would work out. Now I have a little better idea how the Easter Bunny might be able to pull that off!
