Ty started a new rotation at a VA hospital for the next three months. We L-O-V-E it because it means he has been around a lot. Last week we went to dinner as a family, to an afternoon movie and made halloween sugar cookies.
Since yesterday was Columbus Day, and he is at a State Run Hospital right now, he had the day off! Wahoo! The rain spoiled all our plans...so we decieded to give the fireplace a whirl.
If you'll notice the chocolate in Mckinlay's hand, you can understand why she is dancing. She wasn't about to wait for roasted mallows for s'mores. Ty and I were just lucky there was a little chocolate left by the time our mallows were done.
Today Mckinlay and I spent the morning in our sweats, dancing to this:
{"I want the puppet song again!"}
{"I want the puppet song again!"}
watching this cat chase 3 squirles up the tree and wait...
{poor squirles look so scared!}

and making {and eating}"One Bowl Apple Cake."
We like fall. And we like Daddy.
Did I mention this rotation lasts for 3 months!?
Yeah, we're feeling pretty spoiled.
You deserve to be spoiled, I say. What fun!
ReplyDeleteLove you lots and lots (and lots).
Having Dad around is the best, glad you guys get to enjoy such a treat!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to have a baby while your husband is in school, I dread Chris actually having a real job bc then he won't be around anywhere near as much!! (Oh wait. but then we'll have money... hmm. tricky).
Let's enjoy having them around while we can, eh? :)
love your new header!
ReplyDeleteyes, you are getting spoiled. i hope one day to have a husband who gets home at reasonable hour. oh, and we love pomplamoose too, although my girls prefer dancing to "single ladies"!
That sounds wonderful and afternoon movies.... I would sure say you are spoiled! Enjoy all your fun time and dancing!
ReplyDeleteperfect timing with the baby coming! love mckinlay's side pony-do! where oh where am I going to hide my chocolate when I come so she doesn't get to it first!?
ReplyDeleteHooray! Three cheers for being spoiled--and I wish you many more spoiled times to come =)!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! That is great.
ReplyDeleteNow Madelyn and I have something to dance to.
What clever cookie masks. You'll be sooooo missed at the family Halloween Party. But it looks like you're finding all kinds of creative ways to enjoy FALL - my favorite. I'm so glad the fireplace works - nothin' like your own fire, in your own fireplace, in your own cozy, snuggly, wonderfully warm home - which yours is!
