Stinky cheeser.

learned to open the fridge.
Don't let those darling jammies and dischevled bed head fool you,
she's a trouble maker, she is.

I was online checking the library schedule and turned around to find a pile of Parmesan cheese on the bedroom floor that she was lapping up like a dog.
I got out the vaccuum and vacuumed.

Then I heard the fridge.

Went into the kitchen to hear "Mama eggs!"
and find the egg carton out.
Egg yoke all over the floor and dripping from my child's fingers and jammies.

I stick her in the bathroom while I clean up and a few second later my 1/2 nakie child comes running out of the bathroom and licks the raw eggs I dripped on the trash can lid.

Awesome.

I finally get her in the tub and go to turn off the movie that was on to keep her occupied while I checked the library times {ha!} and find more cheese. This time all over the coffee table.

Then later as we were heading out the door, I find more cheese.
Lots more.
A trail of cheese from room to room.

And the best part is this all happened before 8:30am.
It's going to be an awesome day.

  6. I remember so well when Tate learned to open the fridge - an entire pitcher of ice cold lemonade all over himself, the floor, splashed on the cupboards, even the ceiling, under the fridge, carpet, pretty much everywhere. Had to mop the floor 4 times to get all the stick off. Good luck!

  7. LOVE IT...of course I'm not cleaning up the mess?! Her Grandma (who shall remain nameless)used to sneak into the fridge and eat all the maraschino cherries! I love the bedhead and jammies...my favorite look...why does it look so much cuter on her?!

  8. Busy Busy I bet you can't help but laugh sometimes though. Licking egg doesn't sound quite appealing though. I can't wait to see what our little one will be into...

  11. I love when I read a post and I have to stop and read a certain sentence or word more then once. On this one it what the solitary word: Awesome. Oh man, I hope Natalie doesn't learn to walk for real for a while.

PS.That picture made me squeal. she's so cute, even if she does lick raw eggs.

  13. Ahh yes, good times. I won't swap stories, only share my mantra: "I'm a joyful mother of children, I'm a joyful mother of children, I'm a joyful mother of children . . ." You'd do a better job at being mad if she wasn't so cute, right?!

  18. Hahaha!!!! Yea! It doesn't just happen to me. Yes, the egg-licking is the best part, for sure. I love this post. It comes close to capturing how fast it happens.

When Madi started opening the fridge, she liked to get into the butter, or apples. She would take an apple out of the crisper, take a bite, leave it on the floor, and then go get another one. Max is just starting this phase. Let me know if you think of a good way to lock the fridge. :)

  19. Becton and Jenni have this amazing magnet fridge door lock. Really slick and it's even Jaren proof.
